The short version

Scotland Golf Passport sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Your passport is kept in your browser's local storage and, if you have an account, in your account. The only cookies that get written come from services you choose to use — Google, Apple and Booking.com.

What your browser stores for us

  • Your passport — stamps, rounds and photos are saved on your device so the app opens with your progress already there.
  • Your friends list — the passport links you have added.
  • Your sign-in session — a small token that keeps you signed in between visits.

Clearing site data in your browser removes these. If you have an account, your stamps, rounds and photos come back the next time you sign in.

Third-party cookies

  • Google — signing in with Google, and the Map tab which loads Google Maps, can set Google cookies.
  • Apple — signing in with Apple can set Apple cookies during that sign-in.
  • Booking.com — once you follow a "stay nearby" or trip-planner stay link, Booking.com sets its own cookies on its own site.

We do not control those cookies. See Google's, Apple's and Booking.com's own cookie notices for detail.

Affiliate links

Stay links in the app carry an affiliate ID (accesshub) so that a commission may be paid to the app if you book a stay. It does not cost you anything extra and does not change the prices you are shown.

Turning cookies off

Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies. Blocking them will not stop you from using your passport, but signing in and the map may stop working.
